Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which rose 3.96% or 5.45 points to trade at 142.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Nel ASA (OL:NEL) added 3.46% or 0.25 points to end at 7.48 and Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) was up 2.98% or 27.00 points to 932.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which fell 4.67% or 5.60 points to trade at 114.20 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.54% or 1.06 points to end at 67.70 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was down 0.98% or 2.80 points to 283.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 148 to 137 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) rose to all time highs; rising 2.98% or 27.00 to 932.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.41% or 0.31 to $75.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.16% or 0.13 to hit $80.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.48% or 59.40 to trade at $2,331.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.49% to 11.55, while USD/NOK rose 1.32% to 10.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 104.83.
