Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Diversified Financials and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 5.95% or 6.4 points to trade at 112.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 4.80% or 2.58 points to end at 56.32 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 4.06% or 12.3 points to 313.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which fell 2.98% or 1.40 points to trade at 45.89 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 0.98% or 1.00 points to end at 101.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 0.79% or 2.10 points to 264.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 108 to 71 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.09% or 1.45 to $70.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.77% or 0.61 to hit $79.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 6.70 to trade at $1208.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.59% to 9.5991, while USD/NOK fell 0.74% to 8.2571.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.85.
