Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 9.52% or 3.24 points to trade at 37.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 5.43% or 12.60 points to end at 244.60 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 4.43% or 10.1 points to 237.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 3.84% or 0.50 points to trade at 12.73 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 3.48% or 4.20 points to end at 116.50 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) was down 1.94% or 4.00 points to 202.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 130 to 72 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 5.41% or 2.92 to $56.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.88% or 2.40 to hit $64.22 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 3.19% or 43.05 to trade at $1391.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.03% to 9.6706, while USD/NOK fell 1.62% to 8.5641.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 96.165.
