Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Utilities and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 4.62% or 4.40 points to trade at 99.60 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 4.23% or 13.5 points to end at 333.0 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.64% or 11.00 points to 428.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 1.57% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.78 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 0.61% or 2.2 points to end at 361.2 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 0.40% or 0.28 points to 68.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 84 to 76 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) rose to all time highs; up 4.23% or 13.5 to 333.0.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.40% or 0.96 to $69.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.05% or 0.77 to hit $73.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.30 to trade at $1218.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.20% to 9.5321, while USD/NOK fell 0.02% to 8.2547.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 95.22.
