Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 2.34% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.60 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 2.23% or 2.80 points to end at 128.20 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) was up 2.04% or 2.85 points to 142.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which fell 1.16% or 1.50 points to trade at 127.40 at the close. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) declined 0.23% or 0.20 points to end at 86.75 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) was down 0.14% or 0.25 points to 177.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 178 to 100 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.48% or 0.39 to $81.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.42% or 0.36 to hit $84.90 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $2,336.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.12% to 11.41, while USD/NOK rose 0.23% to 10.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 105.51.
