Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.53% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 2.64% or 0.140 points to trade at 5.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) added 2.32% or 2.60 points to end at 114.90 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 2.15% or 3.4 points to 161.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 4.00% or 2.28 points to trade at 54.72 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 1.23% or 3.1 points to end at 248.1 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was down 1.21% or 5.20 points to 425.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 137 to 83 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.67% or 0.38 to $57.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $67.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.85 to trade at $1334.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 9.7557, while USD/NOK fell 0.28% to 8.5991.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 96.335.
