Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 7.95% or 0.47 points to trade at 6.33 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 5.85% or 12.00 points to end at 217.00 and Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) was up 4.03% or 40.00 points to 1,033.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR), which fell 3.29% or 1.21 points to trade at 35.62 at the close. Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) declined 2.87% or 2.45 points to end at 83.00 and TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was down 2.57% or 3.30 points to 125.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 151 to 136 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) rose to all time highs; rising 4.03% or 40.00 to 1,033.00.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.60% or 0.49 to $82.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.58% or 0.49 to hit $85.57 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.84% or 43.90 to trade at $2,423.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.39% to 11.64, while USD/NOK unchanged 0.03% to 10.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.68% at 104.02.
