Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Diversified Financials and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.48% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 9.28% or 1.42 points to trade at 16.37 at the close. Meanwhile, REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 8.29% or 0.09 points to end at 1.11 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 3.87% or 3.05 points to 81.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which fell 1.50% or 0.95 points to trade at 62.55 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 0.60% or 0.9 points to end at 149.7 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 0.32% or 0.5 points to 158.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 97 to 77 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.28% or 1.55 to $48.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.27% or 1.19 to hit $53.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 11.32 to trade at $1341.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.2656, while USD/NOK fell 0.42% to 7.7773.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.28.
