Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.13% or 5.20 points to trade at 131.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 2.16% or 4.30 points to end at 203.80 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 1.97% or 5.80 points to 300.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 7.05% or 0.48 points to trade at 6.31 at the close. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) declined 4.15% or 6.50 points to end at 150.00 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was down 1.32% or 3.40 points to 253.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 156 to 124 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.16% or 4.30 to 203.80.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.86% or 1.48 to $81.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.46% or 1.22 to hit $84.95 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.20 to trade at $2,467.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.15% to 11.75, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 10.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 103.51.
