Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 3.64% or 2.60 points to trade at 74.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.43% or 1.57 points to end at 47.30 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 2.73% or 3.4 points to 125.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 1.70% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.75 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 1.48% or 2.55 points to end at 169.20 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 0.69% or 1.1 points to 158.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 103 to 65 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.50% or 1.02 to $68.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.09% or 0.80 to hit $73.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1225.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.30% to 9.5527, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.1749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.38.
