Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 4.02% or 2.55 points to trade at 65.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) added 3.89% or 1.84 points to end at 49.19 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 2.56% or 8.00 points to 321.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which fell 2.83% or 0.97 points to trade at 33.35 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 1.08% or 1.5 points to end at 138.0 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 0.66% or 0.8 points to 120.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 76 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.59% or 0.77 to $49.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.22% or 0.62 to hit $51.38 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 8.70 to trade at $1263.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.19% to 9.4666, while USD/NOK rose 0.10% to 8.4438.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 97.14.
