Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Commercial Service And Supplies and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Elkem ASA (OL:ELK), which rose 2.94% or 0.70 points to trade at 24.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 2.78% or 6.5 points to end at 240.0 and Aker ASA (OL:AKER) was up 2.07% or 9.8 points to 482.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 2.21% or 9.50 points to trade at 421.00 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 2.02% or 10.50 points to end at 510.00 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was down 1.64% or 3.7 points to 222.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 102 to 98 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.25% or 0.14 to $56.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.09 to hit $63.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 4.25 to trade at $1418.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.38% to 9.7027, while USD/NOK rose 0.57% to 8.7223.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 97.773.
