Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Auto & components and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which rose 7.19% or 0.52 points to trade at 7.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 4.51% or 11.0 points to end at 255.0 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 2.34% or 0.80 points to 35.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 3.99% or 13.80 points to trade at 332.20 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 1.31% or 2.2 points to end at 169.6 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 0.78% or 1.0 points to 127.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 77 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.27% or 0.83 to $64.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.41% or 0.31 to hit $75.07 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1304.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.08% to 9.5131, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 8.0799.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.55.
