Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Commercial Service And Supplies and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 3.39% or 1.700 points to trade at 51.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) added 2.39% or 5.10 points to end at 218.20 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) was up 2.22% or 5.80 points to 267.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 4.80% or 0.72 points to trade at 14.19 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 1.63% or 4.10 points to end at 247.90 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 1.51% or 1.4 points to 94.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 108 to 100 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.50% or 2.05 to $56.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.84% or 1.85 to hit $63.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 7.05 to trade at $1430.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.05% to 9.8112, while USD/NOK rose 0.00% to 8.8645.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 98.300.
