Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Materials and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 9.10% or 27.1 points to trade at 324.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 2.55% or 0.78 points to end at 31.31 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 1.88% or 9.50 points to 515.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 1.94% or 5.10 points to trade at 259.85 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.69% or 0.01 points to end at 0.64 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) was down 1.58% or 1.60 points to 99.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 76 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.10% or 27.1 to 324.8. Shares in REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.69% or 0.01 to 0.64.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.31% or 0.90 to $69.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.24% or 0.97 to hit $79.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1204.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.23% to 9.5271, while USD/NOK fell 0.30% to 8.1489.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 94.06.
