Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 9.59% or 3.01 points to trade at 34.40 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.88% or 0.44 points to end at 15.52 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 1.81% or 4.8 points to 270.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 2.30% or 1.55 points to trade at 65.85 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.76% or 1.20 points to end at 66.88 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) was down 0.98% or 0.85 points to 86.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 89 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.37% or 1.58 to $68.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.52% or 1.90 to hit $77.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.80 to trade at $1302.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.27% to 9.5340, while USD/NOK fell 1.27% to 8.1743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.82% at 94.03.
