Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Commercial Service And Supplies and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 5.39% or 0.260 points to trade at 5.105 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 3.89% or 12.7 points to end at 339.1 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 3.84% or 9.3 points to 251.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which fell 2.89% or 1.250 points to trade at 41.950 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 2.26% or 3.6 points to end at 157.9 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 2.06% or 1.20 points to 57.73.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 111 to 89 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.89% or 12.7 to 339.1.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.52% or 0.30 to $56.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.21% or 0.14 to hit $66.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.38% or 18.65 to trade at $1329.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.41% to 9.7760, while USD/NOK rose 0.46% to 8.6288.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.507.
