Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 8.71% or 0.49 points to trade at 6.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) added 3.62% or 31.50 points to end at 901.50 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) was up 3.30% or 4.20 points to 131.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which fell 6.15% or 17.20 points to trade at 262.50 at the close. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) declined 3.50% or 4.40 points to end at 121.40 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) was down 3.01% or 2.70 points to 87.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 148 to 135 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.01% or 0.82 to $82.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.99% or 0.84 to hit $85.84 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 5.55 to trade at $2,334.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.19% to 11.45, while USD/NOK rose 0.10% to 10.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 105.57.
