Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.56% or 0.90 points to trade at 17.08 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 3.79% or 8.80 points to end at 241.10 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 3.67% or 1.9 points to 53.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 4.67% or 0.50 points to trade at 10.21 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 1.03% or 2.4 points to end at 231.5 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was down 0.79% or 0.55 points to 69.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 85 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.67% or 1.9 to 53.6.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.70% or 1.34 to $50.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.81% or 1.01 to hit $56.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.44 to trade at $1293.44 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.04% to 9.3772, while USD/NOK fell 0.46% to 7.9463.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 93.07.
