Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Energy and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 3.20% or 3.1 points to trade at 100.3 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.80% or 0.44 points to end at 15.97 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.37% or 6.0 points to 258.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 4.85% or 11.20 points to trade at 219.80 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 3.33% or 16.80 points to end at 488.20 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) was down 2.35% or 1.80 points to 74.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 111 to 71 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.35% or 1.80 to 74.65.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.11% or 0.67 to $60.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.21% or 0.85 to hit $71.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1203.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.5370, while USD/NOK rose 0.48% to 8.4737.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 97.27.
