Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Diversified Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 2.50% or 6.60 points to trade at 270.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 2.15% or 6.6 points to end at 314.0 and Aker ASA (OL:AKER) was up 2.10% or 13.0 points to 632.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 6.97% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.79 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 4.49% or 2.95 points to end at 62.70 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 3.30% or 6.75 points to 197.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 94 to 87 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.47% or 0.29 to $61.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $72.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1229.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.5443, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.3264.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 95.76.
