Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 3.60% or 4.40 points to trade at 126.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) added 2.92% or 3.90 points to end at 137.50 and PGS ASA (OL:PGS) was up 2.87% or 0.24 points to 8.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which fell 7.76% or 1.14 points to trade at 13.49 at the close. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) declined 5.15% or 6.50 points to end at 119.80 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was down 4.37% or 0.33 points to 7.23.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 159 to 117 and 34 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.66% or 0.49 to $74.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.62% or 0.49 to hit $78.90 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 7.15 to trade at $2,382.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.24% to 11.53, while USD/NOK rose 0.21% to 10.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 104.25.
