Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Capital Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 3.85% or 1.60 points to trade at 43.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 3.23% or 9.40 points to end at 300.80 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 3.20% or 7.4 points to 238.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DnB ASA (OL:DNB), which fell 3.63% or 6.0 points to trade at 157.9 at the close. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) declined 0.26% or 0.4 points to end at 154.9 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 0.14% or 0.05 points to 34.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 121 to 94 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.84% or 0.47 to $56.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.45% or 0.29 to hit $65.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.75% or 9.75 to trade at $1289.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.43% to 9.7993, while USD/NOK rose 0.82% to 8.6493.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.623.
