Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.37% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 3.20% or 2.05 points to trade at 66.20 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.37% or 0.24 points to end at 10.38 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 2.29% or 8.3 points to 371.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 1.11% or 2.3 points to trade at 205.2 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.00% or 0.01 points to end at 0.94 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 0.95% or 1.5 points to 157.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 70 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.29% or 8.3 to 371.1.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.68% or 0.85 to $51.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.74% or 0.98 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.37 to trade at $1302.87 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.22% to 9.3273, while USD/NOK fell 0.29% to 7.8803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 92.85.
