Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Auto & components and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.35% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 3.51% or 6.1 points to trade at 180.0 at the close. Meanwhile, BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 1.98% or 0.76 points to end at 39.17 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 1.91% or 1.35 points to 72.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which fell 0.73% or 1.50 points to trade at 202.80 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 0.56% or 1.0 points to end at 178.1 and Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC) was down 0.49% or 0.03 points to 6.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 105 to 66 and 36 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.13% or 0.08 to $59.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.24% or 0.16 to hit $65.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 5.10 to trade at $1296.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.21% to 9.8524, while USD/NOK fell 0.29% to 8.2423.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 92.31.
