Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Media and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 9.39% or 0.7 points to trade at 8.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 5.06% or 1.85 points to end at 38.40 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 2.79% or 1.50 points to 55.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 5.98% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.10 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 4.92% or 0.6 points to end at 11.6 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was down 3.90% or 0.7 points to 17.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 94 to 84 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.06% or 1.85 to 38.40. Shares in Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.92% or 0.6 to 11.6.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.39% or 0.17 to $44.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $45.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1318.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.2704, while USD/NOK rose 0.13% to 8.2992.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 95.87.
