Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which rose 3.08% or 3.50 points to trade at 117.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) added 2.45% or 6.40 points to end at 267.60 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) was up 2.38% or 3.30 points to 141.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which fell 9.51% or 1.33 points to trade at 12.65 at the close. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) declined 2.65% or 3.75 points to end at 138.00 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) was down 2.39% or 4.50 points to 184.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 146 to 135 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.94% or 0.76 to $81.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.00% or 0.85 to hit $85.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 31.80 to trade at $2,378.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.67% to 11.28, while USD/NOK fell 0.38% to 10.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 105.11.
