Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 2.83% or 2.80 points to trade at 101.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) added 2.68% or 2.60 points to end at 99.60 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.65% or 14.50 points to 562.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL), which fell 1.76% or 2.35 points to trade at 131.55 at the close. Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) declined 1.75% or 0.62 points to end at 34.71 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was down 1.40% or 3.70 points to 261.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 163 to 113 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.83% or 2.80 to 101.90.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.39% or 1.02 to $72.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.49% or 1.15 to hit $76.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 7.25 to trade at $2,628.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 11.81, while USD/NOK rose 0.93% to 10.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 102.58.
