Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 4.58% or 2.70 points to trade at 61.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) added 1.68% or 0.73 points to end at 44.20 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) was up 1.37% or 5.0 points to 370.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which fell 3.10% or 0.4 points to trade at 13.8 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) declined 2.29% or 1.3 points to end at 55.4 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) was down 1.37% or 0.39 points to 28.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 102 to 78 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.75% or 0.45 to $60.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.45% or 0.28 to hit $63.66 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.70 to trade at $1179.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 8.7391, while USD/NOK rose 0.34% to 7.7771.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 95.30.
