Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 3.16% or 4.20 points to trade at 137.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) added 2.95% or 31.00 points to end at 1,082.00 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was up 2.02% or 0.12 points to 6.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which fell 3.15% or 4.25 points to trade at 130.85 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 2.70% or 5.80 points to end at 209.40 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was down 2.30% or 6.10 points to 259.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 178 to 106 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.55% or 2.00 to $76.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.39% or 1.97 to hit $80.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.15% or 27.10 to trade at $2,380.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.05% to 11.97, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 11.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.06.
