Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 9.00% or 19.7 points to trade at 238.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 3.98% or 1.47 points to end at 38.36 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 3.72% or 0.68 points to 18.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which fell 3.63% or 6.4 points to trade at 170.1 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 2.16% or 1.10 points to end at 50.21 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was down 0.62% or 2.4 points to 383.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 138 to 64 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.61% or 0.38 to $62.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.62% or 0.44 to hit $71.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 9.85 to trade at $1281.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.40% to 9.7443, while USD/NOK fell 0.58% to 8.7036.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 97.278.
