Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 6.95% or 0.87 points to trade at 13.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 2.55% or 1.16 points to end at 46.58 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 1.68% or 0.57 points to 34.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 3.11% or 1.16 points to trade at 36.10 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 2.10% or 4.9 points to end at 228.1 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was down 1.44% or 0.800 points to 54.700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 116 to 96 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.77% or 0.44 to $57.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.16% or 0.75 to hit $65.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.35 to trade at $1399.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.15% to 9.6729, while USD/NOK fell 0.32% to 8.5261.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 95.898.
