Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Insurance and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 4.81% or 1.98 points to trade at 43.14 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 0.82% or 1.3 points to end at 160.1 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 0.82% or 0.56 points to 68.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which fell 1.82% or 1.00 points to trade at 53.86 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 1.55% or 1.35 points to end at 85.90 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 1.55% or 3.70 points to 235.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 69 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.81% or 1.98 to 43.14.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.63% or 0.43 to $67.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $72.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.30 to trade at $1224.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.09% to 9.5784, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.1854.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 94.35.
