Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.25% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 5.59% or 10.95 points to trade at 206.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) added 2.44% or 1.65 points to end at 69.15 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) was up 1.55% or 3.90 points to 256.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 25.63% or 0.72 points to trade at 2.10 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) declined 5.39% or 0.57 points to end at 10.02 and Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) was down 2.25% or 28.00 points to 1,219.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 188 to 102 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL) fell to 5-year lows; falling 25.63% or 0.72 to 2.10.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.89% or 1.43 to $77.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.69% or 1.35 to hit $81.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.23% or 33.39 to trade at $2,681.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 11.72, while USD/NOK rose 0.27% to 11.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 109.86.
