Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Auto & components and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.93% or 4.00 points to trade at 71.53 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 5.22% or 0.50 points to end at 10.02 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 2.72% or 5.2 points to 196.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which fell 4.44% or 1.70 points to trade at 36.55 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 3.11% or 10.60 points to end at 330.00 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 2.62% or 1.64 points to 61.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 79 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.79% or 1.08 to $61.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.56% or 1.04 to hit $67.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.10 to trade at $1318.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.39% to 9.7607, while USD/NOK fell 0.17% to 8.1132.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 91.78.
