Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which rose 4.46% or 3.0 points to trade at 69.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 3.20% or 9.2 points to end at 297.0 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 2.53% or 0.32 points to 12.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which fell 7.75% or 47.5 points to trade at 565.5 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) declined 2.27% or 1.30 points to end at 55.90 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) was down 2.15% or 0.4 points to 16.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 86 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.13% or 0.65 to $57.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.43% or 0.28 to hit $63.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.68% or 8.20 to trade at $1194.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.12% to 8.4574, while USD/NOK rose 0.27% to 7.8572.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 97.95.
