Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Capital Goods and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 9.52% or 0.550 points to trade at 6.325 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 3.86% or 1.80 points to end at 48.48 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.61% or 0.48 points to 30.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which fell 1.98% or 1.050 points to trade at 51.900 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 1.83% or 5.20 points to end at 279.60 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) was down 1.04% or 2.10 points to 200.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 122 to 80 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.20% or 0.12 to $59.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $65.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.65 to trade at $1410.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 9.6827, while USD/NOK rose 0.29% to 8.5188.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.757.
