Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 10.78% or 0.08 points to trade at 0.80 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 1.60% or 2.5 points to end at 162.1 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 1.59% or 7.20 points to 459.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 2.26% or 0.35 points to trade at 14.89 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.43% or 0.69 points to end at 47.62 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was down 1.29% or 4.3 points to 328.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 93 to 86 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $74.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.24% or 0.19 to hit $77.95 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1257.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.4531, while USD/NOK fell 0.15% to 8.1220.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.38.
