Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 2.07% or 1.70 points to trade at 83.80 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 1.39% or 2.7 points to end at 197.4 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was up 1.34% or 2.0 points to 151.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which fell 2.95% or 0.95 points to trade at 31.29 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.58% or 0.95 points to end at 59.30 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 1.40% or 2.6 points to 183.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 90 to 81 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.52% or 0.30 to $57.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.60% or 0.38 to hit $63.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1295.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.66% to 9.7626, while USD/NOK rose 0.84% to 8.2230.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 93.10.
