Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Utilities and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.23% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 5.00% or 4.00 points to trade at 84.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) added 4.18% or 5.8 points to end at 144.4 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 1.64% or 3.8 points to 235.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 8.88% or 0.97 points to trade at 9.95 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.62% or 0.87 points to end at 17.96 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was down 3.24% or 1.19 points to 35.52.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 67 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.84% or 1.47 to $50.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.88% or 1.07 to hit $55.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.53% or 6.81 to trade at $1277.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.3931, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 7.9974.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 93.41.
