Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Auto & components and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.22% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 8.39% or 6.10 points to trade at 78.80 at the close. Meanwhile, P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 2.96% or 10.50 points to end at 364.80 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 2.80% or 7.0 points to 257.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 8.02% or 17.0 points to trade at 195.0 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 1.54% or 0.72 points to end at 46.08 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was down 1.25% or 2.5 points to 197.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 95 to 86 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.80% or 7.0 to 257.0.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.33% or 0.19 to $57.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $63.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 10.76 to trade at $1286.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.4685, while USD/NOK fell 0.15% to 8.1660.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.74.
