Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Capital Goods, Commercial Service And Supplies and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.73% or 3.45 points to trade at 76.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) added 2.84% or 2.90 points to end at 104.90 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 2.53% or 12.20 points to 493.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 6.81% or 1.27 points to trade at 17.30 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 2.59% or 1.19 points to end at 47.00 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 1.26% or 0.46 points to 36.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 90 to 87 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.73% or 3.45 to 76.45.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.55% or 0.36 to $65.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.42% or 0.30 to hit $71.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.60 to trade at $1185.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 9.6657, while USD/NOK fell 0.11% to 8.4674.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 96.15.
