Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 3.02% or 2.20 points to trade at 75.00 at the close. Meanwhile, P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 2.93% or 14.50 points to end at 509.50 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 1.48% or 1.50 points to 102.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 2.41% or 7.4 points to trade at 299.4 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 1.23% or 0.19 points to end at 15.29 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 1.11% or 0.01 points to 0.67.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 89 to 86 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) rose to all time highs; rising 1.48% or 1.50 to 102.60. Shares in REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.11% or 0.01 to 0.67.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.92% or 0.63 to $69.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.31% or 0.24 to hit $78.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 8.40 to trade at $1199.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.02% to 9.6056, while USD/NOK rose 0.32% to 8.2452.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 94.83.
