Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 3.51% or 0.240 points to trade at 7.075 at the close. Meanwhile, BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) added 2.33% or 1.200 points to end at 52.800 and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) was up 2.20% or 3.8 points to 174.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 12.61% or 5.64 points to trade at 39.07 at the close. Elkem ASA (OL:ELK) declined 5.06% or 1.20 points to end at 22.72 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 4.07% or 0.51 points to 11.91.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 118 to 89 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.07% or 0.04 to $60.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.48% or 0.32 to hit $66.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.05 to trade at $1410.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.30% to 9.6228, while USD/NOK fell 0.35% to 8.5499.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.697.
