Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Auto & components and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 3.07% or 0.96 points to trade at 32.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 2.59% or 5.7 points to end at 225.6 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 2.44% or 1.60 points to 67.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 2.93% or 0.37 points to trade at 12.26 at the close. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) declined 2.53% or 2.00 points to end at 77.00 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 2.28% or 3.30 points to 141.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 95 to 74 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.14% or 0.66 to $57.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.12% or 0.71 to hit $62.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 10.49 to trade at $1284.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.7675, while USD/NOK fell 0.08% to 8.2379.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.12.
