Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.18% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 3.02% or 5.40 points to trade at 184.30 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 2.96% or 12.60 points to end at 437.80 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 1.67% or 1.65 points to 100.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which fell 1.95% or 2.2 points to trade at 113.3 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 1.65% or 0.64 points to end at 38.04 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 1.50% or 0.28 points to 18.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 88 to 87 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.02% or 5.40 to 184.30. Shares in SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.96% or 12.60 to 437.80.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.82% or 2.64 to $66.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.40% or 2.54 to hit $72.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1217.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.31% to 9.5488, while USD/NOK rose 0.31% to 8.2323.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.03.
