Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Telecoms and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.00% or 1.20 points to trade at 41.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.83% or 1.1 points to end at 59.0 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 1.79% or 2.8 points to 159.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 4.21% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.77 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 2.74% or 1.28 points to end at 45.40 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was down 1.33% or 3.80 points to 281.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 64 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.74% or 1.28 to 45.40.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.21% or 0.15 to hit $72.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.10 to trade at $1229.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.5879, while USD/NOK fell 0.54% to 8.1892.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 94.36.
