Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Capital Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 13.10% or 0.980 points to trade at 8.460 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 1.61% or 0.76 points to end at 48.08 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 1.58% or 1.6 points to 106.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 6.44% or 1.23 points to trade at 17.80 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 4.35% or 1.51 points to end at 33.22 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was down 3.80% or 2.74 points to 67.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 109 to 103 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 13.10% or 0.980 to 8.460. Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.35% or 1.51 to 33.22.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.01% or 0.62 to $62.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.69% or 0.48 to hit $70.36 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.05 to trade at $1280.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.35% to 9.8131, while USD/NOK rose 0.40% to 8.7735.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.438.
