Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Transport and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 2.24% or 1.90 points to trade at 86.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 1.83% or 0.72 points to end at 39.96 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) was up 1.74% or 1.60 points to 93.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 2.64% or 7.8 points to trade at 287.2 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 2.12% or 0.02 points to end at 0.81 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 1.35% or 0.64 points to 46.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 102 to 66 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.37% or 0.25 to $68.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.41% or 0.30 to hit $72.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 11.80 to trade at $1216.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.70% to 9.5764, while USD/NOK rose 1.01% to 8.2526.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 95.28.
