Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Elkem ASA (OL:ELK), which rose 6.05% or 1.28 points to trade at 22.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 5.33% or 0.61 points to end at 11.96 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was up 3.54% or 0.240 points to 7.025 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which fell 4.96% or 13.60 points to trade at 260.40 at the close. Aker ASA (OL:AKER) declined 1.66% or 8.2 points to end at 485.4 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 0.91% or 1.6 points to 174.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 135 to 79 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.28% or 0.71 to $56.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.54% or 0.96 to hit $63.43 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1426.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.35% to 9.6476, while USD/NOK rose 0.32% to 8.5989.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 96.887.
